About EDOSUBEB Recruitment – The Edo State SUBEB operates with 18 Field Offices known as Local Government Education Authorities (LGEAs), with one designated for each Local Government Area. According to regulations, each LGEA should have a Part-Time Chairman, Part-Time Members, and full-time Secretaries who are public servants.

However, the Local Government Councils have not yet constituted the LGEAs, resulting in the Education Secretaries, who are full-time employees, currently assuming the role of heads of the Local Education Authorities.

Over the years, there has been an imbalanced focus on infrastructure, neglecting the improvement of quality learning. Insufficient attention has been given to teacher professional development, provision of adequate learning materials, and strengthening quality assurance. After 13 years of operation, the SUBEB is now undergoing a restructuring process to address various challenges and shortcomings. This restructuring aims to expand the scope of interventions beyond infrastructure, enrollments, and expenditures and tackle fundamental questions of vision and implementation.

EDOSUBEB Recruitment Eligibility

EDOSUBEB is responsible for not only the recruitment of teachers but also education managers, head Masters, Technical Implementation partners etc. To be eligible to apply for the Recruitment, applicants must;

• Possess of First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC)
• Possess either WASSCE, NECO, GCE, or Grade II Certificate, and must have not less than five (5) credits including maths and English language.
• Possess National Certificate in Education (NCE) or B. Ed obtained from a recognized institution
• Be a citizen of Nigeria
• Have a valid ID card this includes: Permanent Voters card and National ID card from NIMC
• NYSC discharge or exemption Certificate
• TRCN Certificate (for those registered)
• Letter of Employment (for those with teaching experience)
• Computer Certificate (if any)
