*565# is a USSD service from Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) Plc in collaboration with all Banks offering their customers the next level of convenience and speed in accessing transaction information.

Code to Check BVN for all Networks (MTN, Airtel, Etisalat, Glo, etc)

To check your BVN code from any network in Nigeria (MTN, Airtel, Etisalat, Glo, etc), Customers are required to dial the shortcode (*565*0#) and the BVN is provided.

  • The individual must dial the shortcode (*565*0#) using the phone number registered for his/her BVN
  • A service fee of N20 is charged
  • No BVN would be returned where the phone number is linked to more than one BVN

BVN Validation Portal Code

This service allows you to validate a BVN. This means you can confirm if a BVN is correct as well as the name registered to the BVN. Before you proceed to validate the BVN, make sure you have the BVN ready as it will be required for validation

  • To validate your BVN, dial the shortcode (*565*1#), enter a BVN and send.

The Name registered to the BVN is returned via the USSD session.
